Easiturn toolchanger
I've recently acquired an Easiturn lathe, and am trying to familiarise myself with it.

I seem to have a problem with the tool height which is about 2mm below the centre. I guess the 8 way toolchanger must be adjustable to correct this, since there is a sticker on it which says "ROTATE TURRET DURING ADJUSTMENT". It's not clear how to do this however - is there an instruction available?
There appears to be a screw and locknut on the front, just behind the rotating part, but I'm loathe to tamper until I know what I'm doing!

Any help appreciated.

Re: Easiturn toolchanger
Read section 5 of the novaturn manual this covers this in full and is the same turret as you have.

5: Automatic Indexing Tooling System

Available from the downloads section of this website.

Re: Easiturn toolchanger
Thanks for the reply.

I downloaded and checked the Novaturn manual, but the toolchanger on my Easiturn seems to be slightly different.
There is only 1 screw/locknut not 2 as shown in the instructions.
Is it just adjusted on this 1?

Re: Easiturn toolchanger
Hi,

Yes sorry for the miss-information. You adjust in exactly the same way but there is only one cam clicker plate on your turret so you only have to adjust 1.

Should make it easier :D

I got this reply from someone here who sets them up:
The screw you refer to is indeed for tool height adjustment. Undo the locknut then use a 3mm allen key to adjust tool height. Clockwise on the key is clockwise at the tool disk. This should only be done whilst the toolpost is rotating to avoid strain.
