Cyclone P Fanuc 21iTA
Please help me, I am new to this forum and I have a problem with my Fanuc controlled Cyclone P Lathe.

Spindle will not work either through pressing the Spindle CCW or CW buttons.

Spindle doesn't work in MDI

Spindle doesn't work in normal programme run Cycle Start.

Relays are OK, have checked them and the feed overide dial is high to the right.

I can`t remember what spindle drive we fitted to the Cyclone P.
Have you got a Serial number & year of build.

Is there a black transformer box conneceted to the machine?
If there is have you checked that the spindle drive C/B has not tripped.

Otherwise take a look in the electrical pannel. I presume the spindle drive will stand out. Look at the C/B`s & check that the drive display is lit.
If it is a Fanuc drive there may be a C/B below the top card. You need to look from below the drive to see it.

If you are not sure what you are looking at when you open the electrical box if you could upload a few pictures it will help us point you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

Hello to you, I have uploaded some pictures of the innards of the machine for the purpose of identification before I perform any remedial work. I have included a shot of the name-plate that is on the side of the machine that displays specific details. Hope that these items can assist you in helping me.

Hi,

The two KEB units in the top right are inverter drives. The big one runs the spindle the small one the toolpost.

One of the guys in the office should be able to point out the breakers or fuses.

Are there any lights on the inverter?
