Video of our cast iron parts being made
We've done a bit of a film showing our cast-iron bits being made at a local foundry:
https://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?doc ... 2310672574

Also, have a look at hargreaves website:
https://www.hargreavesfoundry.co.uk/

Interestingly, they do a lot of the cast iron work for Antony Gormley:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antony_Gormley
and you can even buy some of his iron bollard designs:

Very interesting to watch, what's next breaking out & machining video?

I wonder if an Antony Gormley bollard would add anything to our park :?

BTW no "a" in foundry (end of the vid) not very educational

I think we use the word "educational" loosely !
It taught me how you remove flammable gases quickly anyway

PS I think the bollards are a few hundred quid each so don't be planning to use them in great quantities !

Never claimed to be able to spell

The video has been edited several times to correct spelling and a new version just uploaded corrects several mistakes but not the last one

As I was not around at midnight I could not get shots of the castings being broken out so we hope to film this once the next batch are finished. We have 10 more sets being cast in the next week or so.

Machining, sheet metal and assembly are next. May take some time to get finished movies posted.

The foundry was an interesting couple of hours visit. It makes you realise why machine tools cost so much money :!:

Spelling is not your strong point either then ?

mitigating circumstances:

1. wine might increase your verbal fluency (in any language) but not the written word
2. It's a japanese word (I think roughly translated it means expensive parts)
3. The keyboard moves about after a bottle of wine
4. it was late
5. I could just change the lable on my machine rather than admit I'm wrong

Ok 100 lines I must spel funuc corectlee

at least words work when you spell them wrong - wrong G code is like a teenageer with a strop
