My Micromill 2000 recently developed a problem where the spindle will stop and 'Emergency Stop' Mach3. The machine will run for different lengths of time, but never more than 3 minutes. I have changed the external brushes, and although there has been an improvement, it still has the same problem. Is there any chance that there could be a problem with the thermal switch, and if so. how do I test/replace it. cheers.
The Micromill spindle motor does not have a thermal fitted.
I suspect its electrical noise on the E-Stop line. You may need to fit a smoothing capacitor.
Has it been converted to Mach 3?

HI there,
it has been partially converted. I am still using the spindle motor board, and the main board. I have noticed that when the machine shuts down, the right hand side solenoid, the one where the 2 white wires form the motor board come into, operates. The other side of the solenoid is connected to the emergency stop. Would that be a problem with the motor board, or the motor?
