From what I can see it is,

Thanks, a quick Google, which I forgot to do before posting, revealed the same answer and subsequent remedy...... Deep pockets seems to be part of the cure !

One to stay away from I think, if the memory is corrupted then it would mean new "chip" and as you rightly surmise deep pockets required if that is the case
