compact 1000 and 1000 pro

What are the differences between the 1000 and 1000 pro?

I too am wondering what the difference is between the Compact 1000 and the Compact 1000 Pro.
Is it just a more robust spindle, or does the machine have better bearing etc?

The standard 1000 has a fixed spindle speed & is not able to cut metal.
The 1000 Pro has a variable spindle which is able to cut non ferrous materials
