How does the novaturn cnc control the spindle motor, does the machine contains a VFD?

It's probably got a Sprint drive and SEM motor
S.E.M MT30U4-36
Spindle drive:SPRINT 1200

If you gave us the serial number of the machine we can probably post the original inspection sheet which will answer all these.
A novamill from yr 2000 has
x-axis SANYO 103-770-1640 30V DC
y-axis SANYO 103-770-1640 30V DC
z-axis SANYO 103-807-0645 30V DC
