anyone ever replaced with spindle motor on a triac vmc with a servo motor?
Yes, our later machine the VMC 1300 Pro uses a Baldor 6000RPM servo motor.
Be aware that the spindle head bearings are upgraded on the PRO machine, they are better quality and a matched, preloaded pair.
...the standard VMC 1300 machine uses the same bearings and a similar spindle to the Triac machine you will have.

You could still fit a servo without changing the bearings if you keep the speed to 4000RPM max.
ah right im with you.
many thanks
ill keep an eye on ebay see what comes up. any recommendations for a drive board?
