Cannot find setup file in Windows 7

Hi,

Installed Quickturn 2D Design 1.11 onto workstation running Windows 7 Ent 32 bit. Tried to launch application and receiving the error message 'Cannot find setup file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Denford\Machines\QuickTURN_Default.MML Closing now...'. I have administrative rights to the workstation and Windows 7 doesn't use 'documents and settings'.

Any ideas why this happens?

Are you sure its v1.11 ?
1.10 is the latest official release, v1.11 is still in beta so could well have problems.

Saying that, I have v1.11 beta installed on win7 64-bit with no issues at all.

Hi,

The CD we received has ver 1.11 written in pen on the label. I'll download the previous version and install that instead. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi,

Sorry it has taken so long. First of all, I tell a lie...Windows 7 does use documents and settings. I also downloaded and installed v1.10 and the same issue is happening. Anything else I could try?

Can you locate this file please:
c:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Denford\QuickTURN2D.ini

Then right-click and edit it (in notepad)
You should find a section called [General Options]
Under here you will see the directory and filename that it is trying to locate.
You can change this filename to the actual location of the .MML file (looking in "c:\Documents and settings..." dosn't seem right on a windows7 machine)

On my win7 PC, this location is c:\Users\All Users\AppData\Roaming\Denford\Machines\QuickTURN_Default.MML
