Problem finding CNC files - DOS software/Tutor keyboad

Post by darrylh » Thu 31 Mar , 2011 20:10 pm

Looking for some help please ref new (to me) Starturn CNC lathe. Using fanucmd software via tutor keyboard: menu system, jog, spindle, home, all working fine. I have set denford data command in autoexec to ref my cnc file directory. When loading a cnc file on the tutor I can see the directory and the file but when selecting a file, error "File not found" appears. Do files have to have a particular extension to be recognised, or what else is wrong here?

Not sure if it's related but shouldn't you be using FanucLD ? (L for lathe as opposed to fanucMD - M for mill)

Thanks. Not sure if this will affect the problem I have, since jog and spindle work OK using this software, however using lathe rather than mill is the right thing to do!

I have 2 tutor keyboards: 1 fixed keyb; one with removable overlay..........am I right in thinking "LD" DOS software is for the overlay, and "L" for the earlier keyb???
