triac spindle speed
hey I mill with 1-3mm cutters so I would like to get up speed from 4000 to 8-20000
is there anyone who has done it?
it is possible to change gear so that the alternate 6000 rpm but is there some other way?

I doubt you will get anywhere near those speeds with the existing motor and pulleys.
You could replace the existing motor with a high speed motor, but then you may have bearing issues and balancing issues with the pulleys and toolholders.
The safest option would be to add a router spindle to the left of the triac headstock, and use this as the spindle.

I'd also think this is the best way to go - it'll get very expensive to up the main spindle to 20,000RPM.The safest option would be to add a router spindle to the left of the triac headstock, and use this as the spindle.
