My old XP computer started to be a bit clunky so I was looking for a solution, preferably something more modern and smaller.

I went for the intel core I7 4500U processor with 8Gb ram and a 256 GB solid state hard drive.
I expected the machine to be without OS and planned to install Linux and run Windows XP in a virtual machine.
Anyway, the computer had Windows 10 pre-installed and, to my surprise, VR milling 2.3 installed trouble free. I connected the machine to one of the 2 serial ports and it works faultlessly. Took all of 10 minutes.
