Hi, before I spend out on a three phase converter, can my 1999 triac ATC
mill running a pure fanuc T21i and control equipment be converted to 240 volts.
Thanks Tony

I don't think so, neither can it run on a converter as I believe it needs the 3 phases for the servodrives
But then I'm not an electronics expert....

Just had a quick look on ebay and it is a lot of money to spend on a 3 phase converter (£500-£1000 for 3 or 5hp)
Personally I'd be worried that:
a) The drives may not run too well from a generated 3 phase supply
b) I had enough current capacity in the 240v supply to either not trip out all the time, or burn my house down!
This question about running a 3phase machine is asked all the time, and I believe the manual lathes and mills will work fine, but I don't know if anyone has ever run a Fanuc digital servo system successfully

I'd certainly keep asking around for advice or 1st hand experience...
