In c:\mcc look for the cb.cfg file and check which board No is selected and compare this with the one on the latest ver of VR milling

The device serial number is Misc Option[16]: 0 in the cb.cfg file.

If you set it to 0 (which it should always be anyway) then it will find any easyscan device fitted. If its not 0, then VRMilling will look for an easyscanner with that particular serial number.

Re: Easy scan error 'invalid board number'
Ensure you have both USB cables connected from the PC to the Machine, one is for Machine Control and the other controls the Laser Scanner. Ensure the Laser Scanner drivers have been installed off the VR Milling CD.

In START > CONTROL PANEL > SYSTEM > HARDWARE > DEVICE MANAGER > SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER You should have the following entries when the machine and laser scanner USB cables are connected and the machine powered up.

Baldor USB Device (Machine drive)
USB Composite Device (Laser Scanner)
