Customer has a 1004 Spindle Drive Fault
1. All fuses checked - found OK. (See picture)
2. The drive card LED showing power ON (See picture).
3. When any spindle RPM is given............(See piture).....
4. Alarm message - 1004 SPINDLE DRIVE FAULT appears on the screen, freezing the controls (See picture)

The 1004 Spindle Drive Fault alarm is triggered when a STALL or ZERO occurs (See diagram below) this then removes the 24V (Terminal 12) from terminal 10 and redirected onto terminal 11, via a change over contact.
To clear the fault you can remove the wire from terminal 10 and reposition on terminal 11. This will allow you to power up the Triac and do some problem solving with an electrical meter. i.e. is there a Spindle Analogue voltage on terminal 3, is there 24V on the RUN terminal 7 etc
