My Triac Heidenhain is showing a 'Relay ext.DC Voltage Missing' error

This error message 'Relay ext.DC Voltage Missing' is coming on or cannot be cleared if the Emergency Circuit is open at any position (this can be a limit switch or any emergency switch, please see the machine diagram).
You have to check this circuit (e.g. you can make a shortcut between 'Em.circuit output' and 'Em.circuit input').

As I remember the Heidenhains, you could only fool the Emergency stop circuit by wiring a relay to the output, and wiring the contact of that relay back into the e.stop feedback.you can make a shortcut between 'Em.circuit output' and 'Em.circuit input'
I'm sure they used to pulse the output a couple of times, and only accept the machine was ok, if it saw the same pulses fed back in.
It was done this way to test for welded relay contacts.
