NOVATURN TOOL CHANGE POSITION.

Hi, would anyone know if it is possible to alter the tool change position on my Novaturn. (in a program)
Using M6 It currently rapids to the home position to change a tool (Auto tool changer!) This wastes time and adds extra wear to the machine and so I was wondering if I can insert/alter the code so that it retracts only the amount necessary to safely change a tool rather than retracting all the way to home each time.

Any suggestions welcome

What software are you using to run the Novaturn?

Hi Martin, thank you for your reply and sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
The control software is VR CNC Turning V1.49.

For programs I have a copy of edgecam and use a post that's close and just edit it a little.

If you go to Setup then to Machine Parameters & enter the password denny you can change it in the Tool Changer box.
