This is a utility that will help you diagnose problems such as :- "Guard Open", "Emergency Stop activated" etc
From the top menu bar in VR Milling version 5, select SETUP > DEBUG MACHINE I/O, by opening and closing the door and pressing in and releasing the emergency stop button, you should be able to see the status changing.
