The only difference between the two packages is the cutting stratergies available.

If you have quick cam 3d when you get to the stratergies page you will see that you can only choose raster roughing and finishing. Quck CAM PRO has 12 stratergies to choose from.

3 Roughing, 6 finishing and 3 fine finishing.

Download the data sheets to find all the detail.

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

You can see from the product literature that QuickCAM 3D only does simple raster toolpaths whereas Pro allows for more intelligent machining:
eg, Pencil finishing will clean up the ridges left behind from a raster cut,
or Combination milling creates waterline passes over steep features, and raster passes over shallow/ flat surfaces - giving the best finish all round with one plan.
