HELP!!!
Are we going the right way?? We have inherited a Microrouter Compact and a load of OLD software. We are unable to get any communication between Comp and machine in relation to milling item. After speaking to a chap on the Denford stand at D&T show we were recommended to get QuickCAM PRO as this would give us a single-link from ProDesktop to a finished article. IS THIS CORRECT and if so, how do we get the software as the Denford website is virtually lacking in information along these avenues.

We are desperate as the machine is sitting gathering dust rather than making it!!!!!!!

If you have a compact it should have a nextmove control board fitted.

Do you have a USB port fitted to the machine?

You have to get the software comunicating with the machine first. If you are using ProDesktop then QuickCAM pro is the ideal package to use to create 3d Cutter paths.

Do you know what software you have?

You should have VR Milling Ver 2.** or VR Milling Ver 5.**

If you have the CD the version will be on it.

You can download the lattest version of which ever product you have from the downloads section of the website. The floppy disc key will be required to install it.

If you have version 2.** you have to stay with this version or purchase an upgrade to VR milling 5.

See the attached link on the advantages of VR 5.
