Hardware/Software: Denford Quatromill any help in setting up etc appreciated as we have just got one from auction- has a heidenhain controller- and seems good nick no backlash in screws etc- have any members any experience of this well built machine- thanks mike

what is a good program to do the g codes edgecam art cam ? seen loads? do any run on an applemac ? if not we have pc's but prefer macs- Mike

it's a shame they went down that route, the larger semco 800 and 1000 models i think have a ballscrew on the pillar. On my ones i've removed the quill travel and added a ballscrew to the pillar, making it into a vmc type mill.

Hi Thanks to Admin printed the Heidenhain manuals on the old laserjet 4000 (£10 for 4000 sheets! toners- cannot go wrong ) dread to think what it would cost on an inkjet-! many thans again-0 as you say seems quite straightforwards to use- Mike
