Introducing myself as a new poster. I have just acquired a Senior M1 dating from 1955 that is younger than I am, to go with my Boxford lathe, which is even younger.
Does anyone know how long Denford continued making the 'Tom Senior' design variants after they took them over? The Tom Senior serial numbers seem to go from 1947 up to 1983 (from the yahoo Tom Senior group files). Is there a similar serial number system for the Denford-made machines?
Cheers

Not that I've found, unfortunately.billhowcroft wrote:Is there a similar serial number system for the Denford-made machines?
From notes that I made, the old TS machine records showed numbers 4291 to 4326 built in 1984, then 1985 started with 4331 and the last number was DS105045S. However, those records were lost before Denford moved premises so it is now impossible to see the details in-between.
