Feedrate Locked Out at 0%

Post by Jhines » Wed 30 Apr , 2014 16:13 pm

I have a VMC1300 mill; recently I have experienced the machine locking out the feedrate at 0% and not allowing the machine to run.

Has anyone experienced this? Would any of you be able to help guide me through some trouble shoot ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

Does the machine home up OK?

Does the feed override pot work? Is it permenantly reading 0? If so try opening the electrical panel and flex the wires on the pot, this may help as it is a carbon film pot.

The machine can home without any problem. It is acting as if the feedrate over ride knob is turned to zero. I will try your troubleshoot ideas later today and post a reply here tomorrow.

Thanks,

Jeff

You called it. It was a loose wire on the federate pot. I took the m/c side cover off pushed the wire back on and got the m/c back up and running.

Thanks,

Jeff
