METRIC Viceroy TDS 1/1 GBL screwcutting

Post by jpopowski » Mon 23 Jun , 2014 9:33 am

Some useful information for screw-cutting on a METRIC Viceroy lathe.

See the Word attachment for a detailed explanation, including labelled photos.

Hope you find it useful.

Since posting, Pete has advised me to add the document in an older format, word97-2000 so that it's a .doc instead of a .docx a lot more people will be able to open it.

You now have the choice although it's in Word 97-2003 format!

That's pretty handy for beginners or new owners trying to figure out what all the markings mean. I like the intermediate threading pitch numbers on your chart - mine doesn't have that.

Can I suggest something? If you save the document in an older format, word97-2000 so that it's a .doc instead of a .docx a lot more people will be able to open it. .docx doesn't automatically associate with programs like openoffice.
