Door Open Error

Post by avcottle » Tue 17 Jun , 2014 14:46 pm

Hope someone can help.

Our laser has been out of action until I replacement the lens in it. It now comes up with a 'Door Open' message on the software but I've closed the door and the message wont go away, and therefor the machine wont work.

any ideas?

many thanks
Adrian

Do the axis power up?

Is there power to the machine?

when you connect to the machine can you hear the fans running and do the axes home?

The lights on the keypad are powered by the USB from the PC so if the laser supply is unplugged then you may still think it has power.

What sort of laser is it? There are magnetic sensors at the front of the lift up guard and also on the front acess door on the bigger lasers

Thank you again for the quick reply.

I will have a look this morning, it could well have been unplugged as its not been used for a while. The LED lights had come on so I has assumed it had power.

thanks again for the help

Thanks for the update. Its not uncommon to think that and can cause problems if you try to jog the laser from the keypad the actual position of the table can be lost until it homes again.
