Fanuc Triac - ATC Problem

Hi, having an issue with my Triac's ATC.
I can rotate the carousel with the buttons on the control and the draw bar works using the manual button.
However if I try to do a toolchange using an M6 the tool changer doesnt retract.
Also if I try to change when these is a tool in the spindle the atc doesnt move all the way in to pick up the tool, as if there is not enough pressure to overcome the springs that hold the tool.

I have a constant light stream of air coming from the under the back of the cabinet, feels like a push connector down there, should there be a brass filter here? thinking maybe it has got damaged when it was put on a pallet.

Thanks

Does the arm in/out work correctly if you program it manually?( M20 Arm in, M21 Arm out.)

You maybe able to adjust the valves on the cylinder but make sure the air pressure is up at over 80psi.

Hi,

I tested this last night. The M20 works fine, even when there is a tool in the spindle, but the M21 doesn't make the carousel retract., although it can be pushed back by hand.

Seems like more air comes out of the exhaust under the cabinet when i input the M21
The air pressure to the machine is at a constant 100psi.

Any idea what could be stopping the cylinder retracting

Can you try inverting the pipes to the cylinder?

I inverted the pipes to the cylinder last night, the carosel moved forward to the spindle, but when i inputted a M20 to retract it, i still failed to retract.

Put the pipes back on as they should be, then watched the soleniods. When i used the M20 an LED on the centre solenoid lit up but when I used a M21 it didn't.

Don't know if this helps, the machine looks like it has been in storage for a while, so i guess some oil could have gummed up the valve.

Am I right in thinking that test indicates a problem with the cylinder?

I guess I should check the seals on the cylinder to see if any air is escaping.

Took the pipes off the top of the cylinder one by one and found that an internal seal had gone.
Went to my local pneumatic supplier in Bristol(Harrier Pneumatics) and got a Parker PIA-5025MS-0150 as a direct replacement for £64.
ATC is working fine now.

looks like something has been cut off the top of mine

is this the correct one from Rs?

I don't think it is correct.

I always thought the stoke lengths are 100mm for up/down & 150mm for in/out.

Have a look at the 100mm stoke cylinders.
