The manual for the NEE SMCU Starmill shows the pin outs for the RS232 port.

Am I reading your drg. wrong.
I have 4 wires red, black, white ,yellow. which come from
the rs232.
I can only see red and blue on your drg
could you put me right in laymans terms.

Sorry if i'm a pain

All the NEE drawings I can see just have the two wires.

Can you look at the other side of the 7 way socket in the electrical box & check if it has 2 or 4 wires.

It looks as though the internal lead is only 2 + a earth (Shield) so you should be able to check the 25 way D type end & compare it to the drawing above & cut out the other 2 wires.

Thanks for your help Martin,

I have finely made a correct 25 /7 (i hope) wire with
your drg.

My next step is to try it.

I bought the Starmill off an old CNC guy(he died 3 yrs ago) his grandson does'nt want to know it.
so I am hoping to breath life back into it.

Thanks
gerry
