Tooling Adapter

Post by RoHo » Wed 04 Sep , 2013 11:22 am

Hi,

I was hoping you could give me some advice about my CNC machine. There is a Collet inside the drill that takes a 6-7mm bit.I need to use a 1.2mm bit for drilling PCB's and also router of the same size mill out out the tracks.

I have ordered and have in my possession milling bits and PCB drill bits linked below as well as photo:

What I need is the small adapter that wil reduce down to this size as the other issue will be everytime I retool the machine I would have to calibrate drilling and milling depths as collets that take this small size dont have an end stop.

I have in the past used an adapter like the picture attached.
It was very similar to the above picture but the shank on the adapter was circular so it fitted the collet.

Do you know where I could buy an item to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Many thanks!!

Ronan

Denfords sell them but the smallest is 1/8" which would be 3.175mm.
