Customer writes in regarding Router 2600 Pro:
Can we machine titanium on the Router 2600 Pro? It is non ferrous but very hard.

It would depend what they are trying to cut.
If they are only taking a 2/1000 - 4/1000" off at a time and buy the correct tooling it would do it.
If it is more than that the cutting forces would cause deflection on a router and the quality would be poor.
The VMC1300 would be more suitable but again it depends on the aplication.

To quote the imortal words
"You can`t be serious"?????????
Fair chance of destroying your machine, it`s like cutting a reasonably hard steel and needs very sharp ( 20 grain Solid Carbide ) tooling and LOTS of coolant!
As previously mentioned cutting force needs to be high and may well be beyond the capabilities of the Router servos and mechanics!!
My advice for what it`s worth is to just get someone with a proper metal cutting machine to do it for you!!!
Regards
Rob
