Replacement Novaturn Chuck

Post by bpmsl » Thu 10 May , 2012 11:27 am

What type or spec of chuck do i need to ge to replace the one on my novaturn, or can I get replace ment jaws? Its a 1999 spec machine.

I dont have both sets of jaws with the machine and want to be able to clamp in both directions. I have the jaws that protrude more axially towards the centre of the chuck.

Any help appreciated, am going to harrogate tomorrow so would like to see if i can get a good second hand bargin or haggle on a new item.

Any help appreciated.
Cheers

It's probably a Pratt Burnerd chuck - Standard accuracy, 80mm, 4000RPM
model no: 9580-00805
Getting extra jaws may be an issue - we've had extra jaws from them before which needed to be sent back for machining.

Thanks, yeah i was thinking new jaws would need fettling to achieve a good runout, hence thinking more likely to get a fresh one with matched jaws.
