Connecting a coolant air valve solenoid for a "Fogbuster"

Post by bpmsl » Sun 15 Jan , 2017 17:53 pm

Hi Folks,
Hoping to get confirmation on controlling coolant on my Novamill.

I'm intending to use a "Fogbuster" style coolant spray when machining aluminium thus eliminating any issues with getting the machine drenched in coolant.

By comparing the novaturn NVT-D5 and NVM-D3 (Output identified as "COR") that TB3 Output number 4 is a switched 0v (core 95) for use with the 24v control card supply (core 61).

I should use core 95 and 61 to drive a 24v din mounted relay as described in NVT-D3.

I can then switch my "Fogbuster" air solenoid from the relay contacts as I see fit.

Any help gratefully received.

Cheers
Barry M

Without looking at the electrical drawings that all seams fine.

Let me know if you have any issues & I will dig out the drawing.

Hi Martin,
All looking really good, apart from a bit of a weird one, when I enter an M command to send my ATC carousel "out" it also energises the coolant relay, any thoughts?
