Hi,
My Novamill headstock has a very slight squeak when spinning off load, usually after doing a latteral cutting move. Is this an issue? If so is it likely to be the headstock bearings beginning to go, the drive belt running slightly out of line, or could it be dust in any headstock associated seals?
I've been predominantly routing 12mm ply sheet recently (6mm bit x 6mm passes) but its not really generating alot of dust, more like small wood "chips".
If its likely to be the bearing the servicing info in the manual says you grease the bearing on change of bearings. Is there any way to lubricalte the bearings installed, or do I just wait for it to get worse and then change out the bearings? (If so is this a massive/expensive job?)
Any help greatfully recieved.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Barry M
