Anyone done this before, or have any thoughts on how it could be done? Mine is a January 1999 model (serial number 81014C) and has double ballnuts on the Z axis. Obviously it means removing the body from the base, but I was going to do that anyway to fit a raising block.
As a supplementary question, when did the Novamill acquire double ballnuts on the Z axis? The production drawings posted in this forum only show a single ballscrew on the Z axis. Or were double ballnuts dropped for the later models that the drawings refer to?
Thanks,
-Neil F

Re: How do I remove the Z-axis ballscrew, for replacement?
Hi Neil
Any luck removing the Z Axis lead screw?
I'm stumped by it too. I need to remove it so I can replace he spindle drive belt.
Appreciate any info on technique to remove the Z Leadscrew
Thanks
Francis
