How do you remove the head from a Novamill?

How do you remove the head from a Novamill?

I need to remove the whole head casting with spindle intact from the column so that I can make some mods to the column casting. I've studied the various cross sections on the site but can't see how you would get the belt off to free the head for removal.

Anyone done this successfully or have any tips?
