Noob here with a 1996 mirac

I just got a 1996 mirac. It came with a multifix tool holder and a aloris style tool holder. No auto tool changer. It has a kitagawa air collet closer on it. I will be converting to a different control system. Is there any need out there anymore for the old controls? Anybody do a linuxcnc conversion and Mesa boards?

Went down the Acorn Centroid route for the controller update with our Mirac. Has plenty of good functionality for a lathe and support from the forum. The original controls have probably had their day and there are several better alternatives out there for an update.

I've got what I think is a security dongle . It has an image of a beaver and says activator TM. Has a handwritten label SR1100. Anybody putting these things back to original? Let me know if there is value, Otherwise I'm going to chuck all the pulled boards after I gut the machine.
