Post by gilles310 » Fri 16 Jan , 2015 14:49 pm

i'm in trouble with my miracpc:
it'seems what the soft of the mirac (mirac v1.47) don't see at all the denford desktop tutor.
it seems what all leads are plugged correctly, and the machine worked perfect before.
the red led on the tutor is light normaly.
the tutor sometimes work but only few seconds, more often it do nothing.
somebody could give me the wiring plug to plug, from the db9 to the db25?
i didnt find it on the forum, after lang search.
someone know something about this trouble?
thank, gilles

The desk top tutor is connected via what we call a pin to pin cable.

thank for the prompt answer martin

i find:
db9 to db25 :

2 to 20
3 to 2
4 to 3
5 to 8
6 to 22
7 to 5
8 to 4

this seems different than your exemple, but i'm not shure if my cable is good or not,
did you think that i've to rebuild a lead like your example or not?

pin 2 and pin 3 are the transmit and receive pins on both the 9 way and the 25way so these must be connected to each other (normally 2 to 3, and 3 to 2)

We used to supply a Lindy cable like this along with the desk top tutor.

thanks for that link, if I hadn't had a selection of connectors and bits of cable I couldn't have bought the bits to make a lead for that price!

hope it all works for.
