Feed override stuck at 5%

My router has VR2.32 software and works just fine apart from I have to use the on screen override for the feed because if I enable the one on the cabinet in the config the feed is fixed at 5%.

I have tried a new pot and have swapped the feed and speed pots over and it is stuck at 5%. As a last resort I purchased another black controller card with the orange connectors from ebay thinking the analogue input was faulty. Guess what its still stuck at 5% the selected device in VR is RouterProNS.

Any idea what I am missing, could it be the Mint code that is wrong or has been modified. The router is a 2002 Microrouter pro NS with the green LED on the card.

I presume you have a Denstep top card with a red seven segment LED on the control card & not a NextStep card?

It may be worth checking the connections on both pots as the 0 volts & +5 volts DC do double up from one to the other.

Hi Martin,

no my card has the green LED and I have tried that and checked the pots and if I change them round in the inputs nothing changes apart from the other pot changes the spindle speed which tells me the pots are working but the input is not, new pots made no change. Swapping the lower card for another made no difference.

You can check the inputs using EasyUpgrader.

Open EasyUpgrader then connect. Then right click on the top banner & go to Card Test. The password is tristar.

Then connect. you should see both values between 0 & 50 when you move the pots.

Also check the commons are connected on the plug where the inputs connect.

Hi Martin,

I have tried the tests and the feed value is not changing, the spindle is from approx 0.8?? to 52.??? but the feed is fixed. I checked the wires into the card and they seem sound.

We link the commons on the input plug. It may be worth checking them against the electrical drawing.

I have checked the wires and they all check out fine.

If I pull the two plugs from the card and check the pots they both read the same from ether outer pin and the middle pin on the pot and also at the plug ends of the cable 0 to 5k.

I do not think its the pots or the cable and the wires are in the correct ports on the base card connectors.

Its looking more like a duff card.

Is it possible to the change the Mint code to read the speed port as the feed so I can adjust the feed and forget about the spindle speed pot?
