Easiturn 3 Automatic lubrication system information

Post by goonturbo » Thu 06 Oct , 2011 23:42 pm

Hello folks.

Am looking for some information on the automatic lubrication system fitted to the easiturn 3.

I am unsure if the system is working on my macjine, I have worked out that there is a plunger fitted to the reservoir, I have pumped the plunger until the pressure has built up, after using the lathe for approx an hour while monitoring the lubrication reservoir it did not appear to drop in level at all.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

David.

Not sure on the Easiturn but the pump is normally activated when the spindle is running. The best way to check is to unscrew the four corner corner screws holding the tank in place & check that the large gear is rotating. If its not there is a fuse in the back but you could also check the motor on top for power.

Many thanks for the reply Martin.

Will give it a try and see if the pump is working.

Cheers
