Easiturn3 setting

Post by skatz » Thu 22 Nov , 2007 23:53 pm

Hello all, I have just got a Easiturn3 with PNC3 control and an 8 station auto turret. I have set the offset for all tools, but when i change the length of a job, i have to alter all the offsets in Z in the tool numbers. Is this right or am I doing somthing wrong? I also have a Prolight3000 CNC lathe which just requires you to set a workshift ( new Zero point) at the face of the material. Can this be done on the Denford? :?

Many Thanks.

Hi,

You set the work piece offsets for tool one and have to reset this for each billet length.

You could set several work piece offsets up where the Z length vary to suit different billets!

If you name the offsets 2" 1 3/4" etc then you select the one you want before manufacture.

All the other tools have tool offsets set in relation to the first tool so do not need resetting each time.

View the following post as it may explain a bit more about offsets.
