Easiturn 3 2 Axis CNC- PC compatibility

I am enquiring as to whether it is possible to link the above mentioned lathe to a PC in order to programme the machining with the use of EdgeCam or a similar piece of software.

Could you please let me know what hardware would be required to do this and also recommend software for the programming.

Hi Bradders...

I can answer half of your question...

It is possible to link the Easiturn to a PC and upload/download CNC programs as text files from the computer.
- Use an "IBM-PNC3" cable (a diagram for this cable is available as a download from the denford website).
- Use Denfords "Industrial Text Editor" software to upload/download the CNC programs. Don't forget to load the "PNC3" Configurations and Settings (two seperate menu options) in the Industrial Text Editor software before you start the transfer.

Regarding linking EdgeCam, I don't know of a Post Processor for an Easiturn. My only suggestion is to upload a CNC program from the Lathe then try and write a post based on its format
