easymill 3 z axis fail ( red light )

easymill 3 z axis fail ( red light )

have an easymill 3 showing the 2nd red light down on the z axis digiplan driver , i have swapped the driver for the y axis and the fault still shows on the z axis , so must be on the machine somewhere , any pointers please anyone .

Have you got the digiplan manual ?
eg:
9.6 Axis Card LED 1
Illumination of this LED indicates a short circuit across the two
motor terminals.
9.7 Axis Card LED 2
Illumination of this LED indicates that excessive continuous current
has been detected, and the drive has folded back. See Section 8.2 for
details of the options relating to this feature.
Find out now if it's in the wiring or motor by swapping the motors

There are also a couple of fuses & LED's on the card that the CD20 drives plug in to.
