I am a new user of Fanuca I do not really understand what is the difference between Parameters and Diagnostics? ... someone could explain it to me that I would be grateful. Regards

Fanuc Parameters are settings that allow the functions built into the control to be adjusted to match the requirement of your machine
For example parameter #1850 is to set the grid shift distance
Diagnostics are to allow you to check if something happened, so when the machine homes a diagnostic input will flash on and then off as the axis hits the switch, to do this you need the diagnostic number for that function 452.3 for example is the program protect switch on the OT-A
