Compact 1000 not connecting

Post by boots » Tue 21 Apr , 2009 21:40 pm

Compact 1000
VR Milling v5.26

The machine has been working fine until today.
Tried to connect to the machine and the error message "Must Use A Set xxxlink Function" pops up.
There is a "-" in the orange LED Status Display.

Any ideas on what to try?

Thanks

This unfortunately did not help. We are still getting the same error and we tried re-installing the drivers, restarted and checked the cables etc. We are also getting the error E06D7363 after we start VR Milling and try to connect to machine.

Boots,

If it is a USB connection try a cable directly from the PC to the Baldor control board. It could be that the USB bulkhead fitting is faulty. Just to be 100% sure you could try a different USB cable as well

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

It'll be worth installing Mint Workbench off the VRMilling CD - See if that can find the machine.

Another thing to try is this:

Thanks. It took several driver re-installs but we got it working
