Compact 1000 - Ran bit into jig
Customer writes in: My router bit/collet came in contact with the F1 car jig in the Z axis and stopped. No real visual damage to bit /collet or jig. Emergency stop appeared in the control panel. Tried to home machine and received an error “drive is not enabled.” Reset both machine and program, but same error appeared. Used secret button to jog router motor away from jig but no movement. Pulled plug from machine and reconnected with same results. Cannot open door so removed at door hinges from machine to clear router jig. Repeated the above steps with no results. Help!

When you release the E-Stop Button, does the “Emergency Stop” warning stay on the screen or does it change to “Machine Ready”?
Have you checked/replaced the fuses. The fuse on the control card (6.3 amp) and/or fuse FS2 (6.3 amp) on the green PCB Card –power circuit board, may have gone.
Is the LED Status Display lit on the control card? What is on the display? What color is it?
Check the voltage on Connector TB11 on the control card. It’s the 5 pin connector on the lower right side of the card with a green (yellow/green) wire in the center.
The 2 wires on the left side (pins 1&2) are the power to the drive circuit. What’s the voltage (VDC)?
The 2 wires on the right (pins 4&5) are the logic side of the card. What’s the voltage (VDC)?
Fuse FS4 (6.3 amp) on the PCB card is for the spindle motor.
You probably just blew a fuse and it needs to be replaced. You can use the Radio Shack fuses --if 3.15 amp are blown use #270-1065; if 6.30 amp are blown use #270-1068
