Hello,
I have a VL300 and i am trying to print to it from 2d Design and all i get is 'could not start print job'. i cant print fine from Corel draw and all of my settings appear to be the same?!!?!?! anyone got any ideas???

Laura,

If you get the message that it cannot start the print job then there is probablya problem with what you have selected to print.

2 D Design should work without problem. If you have drawn somthing make sure it is either Black red or blue. if you want to cut or engrave you must use fine lines.

Try drawing a circle in pure blue and when it is selected try to print.

Once the driver window opens make sure you go to the properties and select the correct material and thickness. If no material is selected you will get the message.

Then just go to print as normal.

Is the part you are trying to make displayed in the VLS preview window?

Hi Steve, Thank-you for your reply, but i already knew all of this info, i made a mistake in my previous post.. i CAN print from corel on the same machine it is just 2d design that will not print, and the print job does not show up in the Versa laser print preview/control panel

Can you e-mail me the design so I can check it out. Send the 2D Des file.

Is it Ver 1 or 2?

If nothing is getting to the preview screen then either nothing is being exported or it is drawn wrong.

Is the laser the default printer? If not try setting it up to be.

Can you try cutting a circle as suggested. Does anything happen when you print?

Have you got the lattest printer driver? You can download from our site.
