Hi All
We use a Router 2600 with VR Milling v 5.27.0.461
Is it possible to interrupt a program while the machine is cutting and restart from the same point later??? (we sometimes need to stop the machine at the end of the day and restart next day)
OR.....
Is it possible to start a program part way through???? (this would be useful when having part machined a piece of work one day and want to restart from the same point the next day)

Hi,

Block restart is available in VR Milling 5.

Simply click on the Button in the bottom left of the screen (next to the blue info Button)

The block number you want to start from is entered and the machine will then run requesting toolchanges and spindle speed changes. It then drives to the X and Y position before moving to the z position.

You are then asked if you want to continue the program.

Note. If you are going to stop a program first turn the turbo off so each line of code is run in turn and then stop the program. This will then record the exact line you are stopping at.

If you stop the program with the turbo on there could be as many as 80 lines in the move buffer that are lost so you would have to start say 100 lines earlier in the program.

From a quick search it seems like a block search bug was fixed in v5.29

v5.29 -
Fixed a block restart bug where restart XYZ target positions were being parsed as 9e9

So i'd also recommend downloading and updating to the latest version from here:
