I purchased a used Denford MicroMill "Integrator" and I don't think
it's coming with software, and the condition of this thing (working?) is
questionable - how do you recommend me testing this thing(the
electronics)???

And, could anyone give me a good summary as far as what software I need to use this machine successfully.?..

Thanks to all, and for any information given!

We'd have to see pictures of the black box - this machine could have any type of electronics fitted (either by us, or by someone who has retrofitted another system like Mach 3)

This post has someone who asked the same question:
viewtopic.php?t=1898

as for which software, what does it say on the eprom which has a yellow label on it ? at the top of the box, behind the daughter board which has a big ribbon cable coming out of it.

Yellow label

Can't tell you what's on that label yet - I haven't received the mill yet - should be coming in today or tomorrow. I'll let you know and again thanks for the quick replies.

Got the # off the chip.

The Yellow tape label has the following:
denMINT
2.0.B10/S/B19-JD5
Bar Code (board) OC00193067

The main driver board, says SMARTSTEP/3 (OC00197356)
The main driver board has 8 orange screw terminal/connectors (if that helps ya)

There's also another third card that sits above the main board, and the controller card. This board said "OPTIMISED CONTROL LTD (issue 2)..

Software-wise, what do I need to communicate with this system, and I guess, could you give me a summary of the software needed.?.. (I know I obviously need a CAD program, and a CAM as well, but does Denford have the g-code intepreter/machine control, similar to say MACH3, etc)
I was also hoping to be able to get a users manual/technical manual so that I can debug this thing. Maybe a signal diagram (in's and out's)???????
schematics maybe.?

Thanks for your time and assistance!

You will need VR Milling v2 to run this machine.
Bit of a grey area here though, because we no longer support version 2...
I'll pass it on to our US office to contact you

Ok - thank you

Is that VR milling V2 software downloadable/usable off the denford website.. I did not receive any software with the system, so I don't have a license file and will obviously not be able to test or even fix this machine.. Maybe since it's no longer supported, maybe you guys could work with me on a complimentary copy?????

Hi There,

Talk to Denford Inc (See details below) The cost of replacement software will not break the bank for you rich Americans    and you will have a good machine at the end of the day. We will always help with Technical problems wherever we can. As a starting point what does the 7 segment display on the control board ? a "2" or and "8" are usually good signs.

Good luck with getting them running
