When does the error occur as soon as you press the VR Machine button?

Does the software connect and run your machine OK?

Has the VR option run OK before ?

What version of VR Milling are you using ?

Hardware/Software: Go to User Control Panel > Profile
Enter as much information about your CNC hardware and software as you can - it makes it easier for everyone to know what you're talking about then.

"Catastrophic failure" is something to do with OpenGL 3D - check and update your graphic card drivers.
Confirm the problem by reducing hardware acceleration to None (see this post for details on how to do that: viewtopic.php?t=289)
