Hi everybody.
I have recently managed to get myself Denford Micromill project. However it doesn't come with software or activation dongle.
After connecting the power cooling fan spins and "L." is displayed on the control panel at the back.
I have installed vr milling v2 and v5 but both versions need activation code which I don't have
Is there any way of checking machine over before I invest any money in the software?? I wouldn't want to buy soft just to find out that control circuitry is faulty.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks.
Mario Dembowski.

Re: Denford Micromill software help
Hi Mario
It looks as though everything is there.
Did you get the machine link cable?
You should be able to connect using EasyUprader in order to check the communications if you have the correct lead.

Thanks Martin.
I'll give it a go.
Unfortunately it looks like top board of the controller has suffered from battery leak and gone green in couple of places, one microchip just fallen off!! I try it anyway but Mach3 or Linux cnc conversion might be my only option

Re: Denford Micromill software help
Im a bit puzzled why there is no RS232 plugged into the top board running to the outer case. It doesn't look like it has just become loose, fallen out and is hanging about either.

Re: Denford Micromill software help
Hi Pete.
I have unplugged it for the photos.
BTW, I have cleaned that mess created by old leaking battery and resoldered microchip. Fingers crossed it will work.
