Possible to operate in alternate orientation?

Does anyone know if this Milling Head can be operated with the centreline oriented horizontally, and vertically upwards, as well as the usual vertically downwards direction please? It is circa 1952 manufacture, apparently grease lubricated, two speed (290 / 585 RPM) 25/50hp.
